The Institute for Far Eastern Studies (IFES) of Kyungnam University is pleased to welcome Dr. Sandip Kumar Mishra, Associate Professor at the Centre for East Asian Studies, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi, India.

A specialist in East Asian international affairs, India-Korea relations, Korean politics and unification issues, Dr. Mishra is visiting Seoul to conduct research on India’s relations with the two Koreas. Specifically, he will be investigating the possibilities for India to provide positive inputs in the stagnated inter-Korean relations.

Currently, Dr. Mishra is also writing a book—tentatively titled, Dialogue between the Deaf: the US-North Korean Relations (forthcoming, Routledge)—that explores the history of the US-DPRK relationship.

IFES is pleased to welcome Dr. Mishra as a visiting research fellow for the month of June.
