To assess the rapidly changing security landscape in East Asia, the Institute for Far Eastern Studies launched a web forum on peace and development in East Asia.
This forum addresses trends and developments in East Asian security with a particular focus on the Korean peninsula.
For example, the forum will examine issues such as: North Korea¡¯s burgeoning relations with other countries, and attempts by South Korea and others to ensure peace on the peninsula;
Japan¡¯s changing military posture in the region; and the effects of the warming and cooling of U.S.-China relations.
Articles will be posted to the forum periodically, along with responses solicited from other experts.
If you wish to receive email notice of new articles posted to the forum, or if you would have questions or feedback regarding forum articles,
please email IFES at forum@kyungnam.ac.kr.
